The quality objective of Tudhope Cartage Ltd. is to safely and efficiently meet our customer's supply and delivery requirements with the highest level of service at a competitive price. With a foundation in continuous improvement and innovation Tudhope Cartage Ltd. is moving forward expanding our petroleum market share and diversifying the company both in market sectors and geography. Consequently, it is the policy of Tudhope Cartage Ltd. that
  • A Quality System be implemented and maintained
  • The Quality System ensures that products and services conform to specific requirements and include robust systems for detection and control of anomalies and non-conformance.
  • All personnel shall receive the instruction and training, as requited, to implement and maintain the quality policies of Tudhope Cartage Ltd.
  • Appoint and maintain a Quality Manager who has been granted the authority to act on quality matters on behalf of Tudhope Cartage Ltd.

Quality Manager and Designate Quality Manager of Tudhope Cartage Ltd. is the Vice President of Operations. The Vice President of Operations has had extensive experience and training in quality doctrine and ISO 9000 system and protocol and possesses the necessary qualifications to lead our Quality System development and implementation. Tudhope Cartage Ltd. will also draw upon external professionals in Quality as required.

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Harmac Transportation, the job description of the Quality System Manager includes:

  • Ensuring that trained personnel for verification activities are assigned to each task performed within the company.
  • Ensuring that personnel for quality verification have the organizational freedom and authority to:
  • Initiate action to prevent the occurrences of nonconformity.
  • Identify and record any product/service quality problems.
  • Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through process.
  • Verify implementation solutions.
  • Assigning a Quality Team to address as needed solutions.

Annually, the Quality System Manager shall prepare a report on the status and effectiveness of the Quality System. This report will be reviewed by Senior Management and will include a review of the Quality Objective and Policies.
